A strong foundation

Originally founded by Volveno Zimola in the 1960s after emigrating from Italy 🇮🇹.

Zimola Construction Inc. was built on a strong foundation of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and quality construction. Volveno constructed multiple custom homes across Ottawa, establishing the company’s early reputation for delivering high-quality projects.

Serge Zimola

President

Serge Zimola has over 40 years of experience in construction, first starting off as a project manager for his father’s company, and then leading Serge Zimola Construction Inc. into its second generation in 2004.

Serge shifted its focus toward commercial and industrial construction.
Under his leadership, the company strengthened its internal processes and expanded a trusted network of subcontractors, consultants, and clients. With a strong emphasis on reliability, efficiency, and quality workmanship, Serge established the company as a respected general contractor in Ottawa.

Raphaël Medeiros-Zimola

Project Manager and Site Supervisor

Representing the third generation, Raphaël Medeiros-Zimola has been with Serge Zimola Construction Inc. for over eight years and is preparing to lead its future growth.

His focus is on expanding the business in a controlled and sustainable manner while preserving the company’s core values of craftsmanship, quality, and a client-first approach. He continues to build on the company’s legacy while adapting to modern construction practices and industry demands.
